Chapter 69

Lexie stretched as much as she could, Jon’s arm and leg held her in place. Turning her head she looked at the clock on the nightstand.  They had to check out of the hotel by one and their flight would be at three.  Lexie and Jon had sat up and talked wedding plans, Jon had even called Matty around midnight to ask him about security.  Jon was a cuddlier, after making love, he would cuddle her close until they fell asleep.

She could hear Stephanie rattling around in her room.  She must have ordered room service because the smells were wafting in to their bedroom.  Something didn’t agree with her stomach, wiggling out from under Jon’s arm and leg, she barely made it to the bowl.  Dropping to her knees and hugging the bowl she retched.

Jon was woken to the sound of someone throwing up.  Jumping up he rushed in to try and help.  Holding her hair back with one hand he held her forehead with the other.

“Steph, Steph” Jon called his daughter.  “Call room service, saltines and Ginger ale, have them rush it, please.”  This brought back memories, many a morning he held Dorothea’s hair, while she had morning sickness.  “That’s it Lex, deep breathes through your mouth.”

When she got control over her stomach she sat back, Jon was there with a wet cloth for her.

“Oh my God,” she wiped her face.

Jon reached for a bathrobe off the back of the door, quickly covering up, Stephanie knocked on the door. Jon handed her a glass of water to rinse her mouth out.

“I got recovery supplies.”  She called through the door.

Opening the door, Jon stepped back and let her in.  Handing Lexie an open pack of crackers, holding a glass of Ginger ale.

“Nibble the crackers, they really help.”  Jon told her as he took the glass from Stephanie.

“Boy does that bring back memories. Mom had bad morning sickness, after Jake she swore that he was the last.  Then Roe came along and she was pissed.”  Stephanie leaned on the doorframe watching Lexie eat crackers.

“She threatened to drive me to the urologist when we left her doctor’s office.”   He could laugh about it now without covering his crotch.  “How are you doing now Lex?” Jon asked her as he noticed the color returning to her face.

“Better, my stomach has stopped rolling.”  She closed the toilet lid and climb up off the floor and sat on the lid.  “Not the best way to wake up, that’s for sure. It gets better right?”

“We’ll talk to the doctor, he might know.”  Jon sat down on the rim of the tub.  “But I would say No, you can ask Dezi she could tell you.”
“Look, I’m all packed, I’ll go down to Robbie’s room, come get me when you two are ready to leave.”  Stephanie said as she pushed off the doorframe “Are we flying back with you or commercial?”

Jon smiled, he knew the kids loved to fly in the plane, Vickie spoiled them rotten.

“That’s up to Lexie, you might want to fly back with me.”  Jon got up off the rim and went over to help her up.

They headed back to their room.

“I might just do that.  So we are flying home in Jovi Air?”  She sat on the end of the bed eating another pack of crackers.  “Can Robbie,” She started to ask, but Jon jumped in.

“Only if he keeps his hands to himself.” Jon laughed.

“He’s just excited you’re going to let his partner dress you for the wedding.”  She told him laughing.

“I don’t know about that Lex.”  Jon pulled on his jeans and went over to Lexie and took a bite of cracker.  “We’ll talk about this later.”

The flight home was not without a few trips to the bathroom.  It was a good thing Jon called ahead and had Vicki stock the kitchen with saltines and ginger ale.  They dropped off Robbie and headed home.  Lexie watched Jon texting on his phone and Stephanie behind them was clicking away on hers.

“What would you two do without your cell phones?”  About that time hers went off.

“Pot meet kettle.” Jon mumbled as she pulled out her phone.

The driver let them off at the curb, unloading bags and suitcases Jon called up for the boys to come down and help.

“Hey Lexie,” Jesse said as he grabbed the shopping bags with the awards in them and his dads go bag.  “Looks like you cleaned up.”

Romeo came and told his dad all about the football game he had missed as he dragged Lexie suitcase into the elevator.

Jake stood holding the door as they piled into the elevator.

“Lexie, you got,” Jake started to say, but stopped at the evil eye he was getting from his father.

“What Jakey?” Lexie leaned on Jon as they rode in the elevator.

“You’ll see.” He gave her the Jovi grin and she laughed.

“You didn’t spit far there dad.” She laughed. “I hope this one takes are you too.

Jon joined her laughter.

The kids let her enter first, she stepped to find two dozen roses in shades of pink and one in deep red.

“Oh they’re beautiful.” She went over and drew a deep breath from the pink ones.  She had tears in her eyes.

“Lex,” Jon went over and took her in his arms. “It’s all hormones sweetie.”

“Lexie okay daddy, why did she cry?”  Romeo asked Jon.

“Oh Romey, I’m just lucky to have your dad and you guys.”  She tried to stop the tears.

“Let’s go get Pizza.”  Jon took control of the emotional situation, Lexie went over and hugged him.

“Thank you, just another reason I love you.”  She gave him a quick kiss and they went for pizza.

They were due at the OBGYN at two, Jon was to be at the Rock at sound check. They went early and did a quick sound check. They were due to play the Today Show on Thanksgiving morning and then head to the river house for a family dinner.

Morning sickness was still her morning wake call.  Dezi had come right over when they got the news.  She was such a big help, telling her what to expect.  Mr. and Mrs. Bon Jovi were excited at the news, John Sr. waited to let Jon tell his mom.

They were seated in the waiting room, of course Jon was incognito with ball cap and his glasses. He got a lot of quick looks, but no one approached him.

“It says here that, if my calculations are right, our baby is the size of a kidney bean and webbed fingers.”  Lexie was reading one of the booklets in the holder by their seats.  She showed Jon the small picture on the page she was reading.

Jon smiled and looked at the picture.  It wasn’t new to him, he had been through this four times.  But it was new to her and he would be excited for her.

His phone buzzed for a text.  Pulling his phone out of his jacket pocket, he read the text.

“That’s from Dezi, you have a fitting for your dress tomorrow.”  Jon turned the screen so she could read it.

“Tell her I’ll be waiting.”  She told him as she added another free booklet to her bag.

“Okay, I’m taking the boys for a tux fitting in the afternoon, after school.”  He said as he tapped the text into his phone.

“Jon, I thought you guys were wearing suits?”  She pulled a cracker pack out of her tote.

“You girls are wearing sort of formal dresses, we should wear tux.”  He reached for a cracker.  By the time she finished morning sickness he would have put on a couple of pounds.  He suddenly got cravings for crackers when he heard her rattle the cracker package.  This was new to him, he had never gone through this with any of his kids.

She had taken some drawings to Kenneth and to Vera Wang since they were close by.  She had designed it when she was a teenager about Stephanie age.  Kenneth said he would come up with a mock up, said it was promised to would look like her design.

“Madison, Alexis Madison,” the young nurse called her name and held the door and Lexie and Jon went in.

“Dr. Sally, is with another patient, we’ll set you up, do a little look see, and you’re what about 12 weeks.”  The nurse was too giddy for Jon.

“If my calculations are right.”  She followed the nurse down the hall to one of the ultrasound rooms.  “I might be off a week.”  She told the nurse.

After a blood pressure and temp check she was given a gown to put on.  While the nurse was out, Jon got up and looked at the posters on the wall and waiting for Lexie to get the gown on.

She sat on the table and Jon sat on the rolling stool.  Lexie thought Romeo was with her when Jon started to roll around the room.

“Jon, I think Dr. Sally plans to use that.”  She tried to sound mommyish.  When he rolled up to the table and flipped up the gown to kiss her belly she rolled her eyes.  “Romeo Jon, get off Doctor Sally stool.  If you are a good boy I’ll buy you one for the studio.”

Jon stopped the rolling stool and put it back at the end of the table and went and sat in the club chair.  “One that goes up and down?”

“Yes Jon, one that goes up and down.” She leaned back on the wall, she had to pee.

“And rolls, it has to roll.” Jon told her.  “Butter Leather black seat, well padded.

“Jon we’ll get you the Cadillac of seats.”  She lightly touched her tummy, she had started to have to let her jeans out and her breast were getting larger.  Jon seemed to like that, well the bigger breast made him smile.

At the knock on the door the tech came in.  “Dr. Sally wants us to get started, he’ll come and look in.” he didn’t want to alarm her if there was a complication.  He brought in the machine and started to warm it up.

Soon the lights were dimmed and the machine hummed.  Warm Jell was applied to her little belly.

“Let’s hear momma’s heart,” She moved the wand over her stomach and a loud heartbeat was heard.  “Very nice momma, now before I turn on the screen I need to ask, do you want to know what you’re going to have?”

Lexie looked up at Jon, there was a twinkle in his eye.

“Stephanie would love to know, she threatened to move in with your mom if it’s another boy.” Lexie told him.

“Well for big sisters state of mind, we better find out.”  Jon laughed.  “We knew what we were having before, it was Dorothea’s idea, how to plan the bedroom interior.  But it’s up to you.”

“We won’t be able to tell yet, we just put it in your folder.  Actually Dr. Sally has us change the color of the folder for unknowns.”  The tech moved the wand along.  “Ah we have a heartbeat.”  She told Lexie and Jon.  “Hum?”  She moved the wand again.  You could hear the heartbeat, but the tech kept moving the wand out and back.  “I’ll be right back.”  Lexie looked at Jon.

“Something is wrong.”  Lexie told Jon.

“You don’t know that, maybe there is a problem with the machine.”  He took her hand and tried to keep her calm.

“It was working fine until she tried to hear the baby’s heartbeat.  I’m scared Jon.”  She felt the tears start to well up.

“I’ll go find out’s wrong.” He let go of her hand and was about at the door when it opened.

“Well, let’s what has my tech rushing to find me.”  Dr. Sally came into the room.  “It’s about time we got to see you Miss Lexie.  After the rush in Chicago, I thought I would see you when you got home.

“Is something wrong Dr. Sally?”  Lexie asked.

“This must be daddy.” Dr. Sally held out his hand.

“That would be me and soon to be husband of Lexie.”  Jon shook the doctor’s hand.  “Jon Bon Jovi.”

“Well double congratulations, let’s listen to the heartbeat.”  Dr. Sally followed the techs maneuver’s starting with her heartbeat.  “There’s mommy and now.” He moved the wand down.

“Sounds like an echo.”  Lexie said as they listened to the heartbeat.
“Yeah, it does sound like an echo.”  Jon agreed with Lexie.

“Want to see why?”  He turned on the screen and turned it so Jon and Lexie could see.

Chapter 68

Lexie got dressed, Stephanie did her makeup.  She sat there looking at her reflection in the mirror.  Oh My God, Oh My God, Oh My God.  Please God let him still love me, that this baby will have its daddy’s love.

Jon had quickly changed into his suit, after calling Mark one of his assistant, “Yeah I want two dozen pink roses, and yes I know it’s the close to the end of October, but I want pink ones.”

“Jon, the cost of two dozen is one thing but pink might cost” Mark pleaded with Jon to change colors.

“Pink, with maybe a few of those blue flowers in it, and no I don’t know what they are called just do it Mark.”  Jon hung up, his assistant I should have called Dezie she would know what to buy.  I really screwed up, she thinks I’m not happy.  But I am, I never thought I would find someone after the hell of the divorce, now we’re going to get married and have a baby

Jon sat waiting on his two girls, the thoughts of the baby kept playing around in his head.  Someone knocked on the door, knowing it couldn’t be the flowers this fast.  Walking to the door he let the girls know he got the door.

Once again looking in the peep hole he saw Robbie.

“They’re getting dressed.”  He let the assistant in the door.

“I just went down and looked at the seating and you three are sitting in the center of the room, is that going to be a problem for you?”  Robbie told him as he passed him going n “Hum, Kenny Cole not bad rocker not bad at all.  I should let Christian take you on, he’s putting out his own line this winter.”  Robbie fingered his shoulder seam on his he walked past.

“Lex, Robbie’s here.”  Jon called out as they went into the living area.

Stephanie came out first.

“Hey Robbie, wow dad, Uncle Kenny did a great job on short notice.”  Stephanie carried her sandals.

“I told him Christian should dress him.”  Robbie told her.

“Daddy, can you help Lexie?  I think she’s nervous.”  Stephanie said as she sat beside Robbie on the sofa to put on her sandals.

“Sure,” Jon said heading to the bedroom.

Jon opened the bedroom door to see Lexie standing in front of the mirror.

“Wow Lex you look great.”  He leaned on the doorjamb watching her staring into the full length mirror.

“I don’t look pregnant, maybe the results are wrong.”  She turned right then left looking at herself in the mirror.

“You won’t for a few more weeks.” He said pushing off the door and moving up behind her.  Placing his chin on her shoulder and his hands spread across her abdomen.  “Our baby” he said softly.

She placed her hands on top of his.  “You’re not mad?”  She looked at his eyes in the mirror.

“I’m not mad, shocked just like you.”  He gazed into her eyes.  “But never mad.”

They stood there a minute until Stephanie knocked on the door.

“We’ll be there is a second.” He watched her back out of the room. “You ready to go win those awards?”

“Yeah, I’m ready now.” She said as she turned her to face him and kissed his cheek.

They walked together down to the convention room set up for the dinner.  You could hear the whispers starting to sweep the room.

Jon held her chair out and let her sit, then moved to seat Stephanie.

“Where is Robbie sitting?”   Lexie looked around the room for her assistant.

“He gave me his seat so I could sit with you,” he told her as he sat down and looked at the salad that sat in front of him.  Robbie probably got the chicken, he tried not make a face.

Stephanie leaned over and whispered.

“Your covers blown.” She giggled.

Ah hell this is Lexie night, not meet the rock star.  He looked over at Lexie, she was still a little flushed from earlier.  Maybe they’ll leave us alone.  He chuckled to himself. I got a snowballs chance in hell.

Does Jon look uncomfortable?   Lexie kept looking at Jon out of the corner of her eye.

The long night began with two women coming up during the salad portion.  Jon was polite signed the programs and handed them to Lexie to sign and then passed them back to the ladies.  Then during the main course a few more, till security made them move along.

“Sorry Lex, this is about you, not me.”  He took her hand across the table.

“Comes with the territory.”  She smiled at him.  “I don’t mind sharing the spotlight.”

By the end of the night the table was loaded with awards.  She thanked everyone, at the end she smiled at him.
“And finally I want to thank my Editor, without him sending me into the mountains in the dead of winter, I wouldn’t have met the love of my life and get to share his wonderful children.” She looked from Stephanie to Jon.  She never said their names, but everyone knew who they were.

Someone sent a bottle of sparkling cider to the table.  Jon poured her a glass, he toasted her win.  Security came by the table and they were escorted through the kitchen and up the service elevator.

“So this is the rock star way to leave a dinner?”  Lexie asked Jon who carried her awards for her.

“Yep, stinks sometimes when we have to jump in the laundry carts, but sometimes it’s safer this way.”  He followed the ladies when they got to their floor.

Lexie opened the door, placing her room card on the table and kicked off her shoes.  Jon followed her in and placed her awards on the table by the door and took off his jacket.  Stephanie came in and locked the door, following her dad she kicked off her shoes.  Picking her shoes up and bid good night to her dad and Lexie.

Jon watched her close her room door.

“She has been such a help to me, working the table and supporting me.  I don’t know what I would have done without her this weekend.”  She sat on the sofa and propped her feet on the coffee table.

Jon folded his jacket over the club chair and went to join her on the sofa.

“That’s one thing she learned from both me and her mom.”  Jon pulled her into the circle of his arms, lifting her onto his lap.  “When the band got big, Dot could have sat back and lived off the money and the fame.  She had her own Dojo and kept that up until a few years ago.”  Jon got quiet when talking about his ex.  “After Romeo was born, she sort of lost interest in the Dojo and sold it to one of the other instructors.  We were doing back to back tours, she was pulling away.”

“I love to write, I don’t think I could ever give it up.”  She laid her head on his shoulder.  “Even when I have writers block, I love to thrash it out.”

“I would never ask or want you to stop doing what you loved to do.”  He rubbed her back. They sat there quietly talking, the subject of their wedding came up.  “You still want to get married at the river house?”

Lexie sat up and smiled.

“Yes I do, with the gates and the trees, security will be easy” her eyes sparkled when she talked about the trees being in full color, if they did it in fall.  There was no talk about being in fall, winter or spring, but it would be soon.

Chapter 67

“Miss Madison, all the test have come back. We have sent the results to your Doctor. We are proud you chose Miller OBGYN for your test procedure with us.”
Lexie drew a deep sigh, she was happy right?
She must have sat in that one spot for thirty minutes, because that is where Stephanie found her, when she came back from Robbie’s room.
“Lexie, you ready to go eat? Robbie found this great little place close to the hotel, just a short….” She stopped when she saw Lexie sitting by the window, tears rolling down her face, the phone still in her hands.  “Oh Lex, you got the call.
“Text.” Lexie whispered, as she wiped the tears from her cheeks.
“They sent you a text?” Stephanie was shocked.
“They tried to call, but got no answer, so the nurse Betty sent me a text.”  Lexie got up and moved zombie like to the bathroom to wash the raccoon eyes off her face.
Stephanie picked up the phone off the bed and read the message.  Giving a silent fist punch, she hid her excitement off her face.
“Are you going to call daddy?”  She tried to keep her voice controlled.
“I told him I would, when I got the call.”  She came out with a cool cloth on her face.  She had her hand out for the phone.
Handing her the cell she headed to the door.
“I’ll go meet Robbie in the lobby, you can meet us after your call.” She had her hand on the door knob.  “Unless you need me for moral support.”
Lexie looked up at the beaming face of her soon to be step daughter.
“You read the text,” She noticed Stephanie blushed.  “You might as well be here for the fall out.”
Lexie watched Stephanie rush across the room to sit on the edge of the sofa.  Lexie sat beside her and let Steph pat her on the knee as she dialed the number.
What am I going to say, hey Jon the rabbit died?  Hey Jon, we need to get a bigger town home? Are you ready to be a daddy?  Oh my God, I’m pregnant!
The call went to voice mail.
“Jon, this is Lex, call me back.” She clicked off the call and looked over at Stephanie.  “This isn’t the type of news you leave on a message.”
Stephanie agreed. It was agreed they would wait a few minutes, to see if he called back.  After a 20 minute wait, Stephanie forced her to go eat.
“Think of the baby.”  Stephanie pulled her along.
Jon had fallen asleep, his phone buried in the sofa cushion.  Romeo woke him up when it kept ringing.
“Yeah?”  He mumbled into the phone.
“Mr. Bon Jovi, the plane is ready whenever you’re ready to leave.”  Max his pilot said.
“What time is it?”  He cracked open one eye to look at the DVD unit by the television.
“It’s ten in the morning, you wanted to be on your way by eleven.”  Max stood by the steps to the plane.
“Shit,” Jon rolled off the sofa he had fallen asleep on during the movie.  “I’ll be there.”  He closed off the call and rushed to get a shower.  Yelling instructions to the boys to get his bag as he stepped into a hot as hell shower, quickly turning it to freezing.
“Dad,” Jesse banged on the door.  “Grandpa is down in the lobby.”
“Go down and get him, I forgot to leave the key card last night at the desk.”  He yelled as he jumped out, wrapping a towel around his hips and grabbing a towel to dry his hair.  Nicking his chin as he ran the razor over his cheeks. Damn now I’m going to have toilet paper on my face.  Slow down Kidd, you’ll make the flight.  You did call for a driver, oh shit I forgot the car service. “Jesse?”  Jon yelled.
“He’s gone down to get Grandpa,” Jacob called from the bedroom.
Holding the towel around his hips, he ran into the bedroom and grabbed his cell.  Checking with his driver he sighed a happy sigh that he had arranged the driver and he was downstairs waiting.  Grabbing his clean jeans and polo shirt he dressed.  Carrying his shoes and suitcase he tossed the tickets to his dad and ran out the door.
“Daddy fell asleep on the sofa.”  Jesse told his grandfather at the puzzled look he gave him.
John senior laughed, “Must be love.”
Jon was putting on his shoes in the car when he noticed he had a message.  Sitting up he punched in his code and held the phone to his ear. Damn I missed her call.”  Checking his watch, Fuck she’ll be in the conference.  He punched the code for Stephanie phone.
“Hey Daddy, you hear yet?”  Stephanie answered the call as she handed out yet another bag.
“Headed to the airport now, is Lexie busy?”  Jon put the phone on speaker as he put his other shoe on.
“Daddy she has a line out the door, we aren’t even going to have lunch today to take care of all her fans.”  Stephanie told him.  “Your suit is in my room and I left you my key at the desk.  I got to go daddy my line is backing up.”
“Wait Steph, did she get the call?  Is that why she called?”  Jon grabbed up his phone.  “Steph?”  He looked at the phone in his hand and cussed, she had hung up.
It was a quick up and down for Jon, he was at the hotel and in the room.  He looked around the room looking for her phone, she must have it with her.  He called room service, he hadn’t had a chance for breakfast and the three cups of coffee was rolling around in his empty stomach.
There was a knock on the door, Jon got off the sofa and went to the door.  Looking in the peep hole he saw Robbie standing there.  Opening the door, he backed up to the let the assistant in.
“Hey Rob, how’s she doing?”  Jon asked the six foot tall, athletic looking blond into the room.
“She’s doing super, she has the longest lines in the place.” He handed Jon the ticket for the dinner.  “I took a break to grab lunch and bring you the ticket.”
“Thanks Man, I owe you big time.”  Jon took the ticket.
“Steph has the cost.”  Robbie winked and headed back elevator.
Jon gave a puzzled look at the assistant and shut the door, only to open it again for Room Service.
It wasn’t long before a tired Lexie and Stephanie came up to the room.
“I have to go by Robbie’s room first.” Stephanie said as they got off the elevator.
“You’ll see him in about an hour, I need your help with the dress I have for tonight.”  Lexie said as she leaned her tired body on the wall by the elevator.
“I promise I will be back in a few minutes, I’ll help you when I get back.”  Or daddy will. She turned and headed down the hallway.
“Okay, don’t stay too long, I might end up sitting on the bed and that will be all she wrote.”  Lexie called after her and she pushed off the wall and walked to the double doors to her suite.
Jon heard the key card being slid through the lock he stood up and waited.
Lexie came in and tossed the key and her name badge on the table, looking at her phone she sighed, no call back. Damn I thought he’d call back before now, she looked at her watch, and they would be at the stadium by now.  I really don’t want to wait till I get home to tell him. She gave a huge sight and headed to the living room, she stopped when she saw a man standing with his back to the huge floor to ceiling windows.  Blinking several times, she just stood there, I must be really tired, and I’m seeing things.
“Hey Lex.”  Jon said when she just stood there.
“Why didn’t you return my call?”  She said still standing at the alcove.
“I fell asleep watching a movie with the boys, I was late an almost didn’t make it here in time.”  He told her.
“The Jon I know is never late, who are you and what have you done with my Jon.”  Lexie kicked off her shoes and finally walked to him.  “Aren’t you supposed to be in Boston?”  She stood toe to toe with him.
He opened his arms and pulled her close.
“Dad’s with the boys, why didn’t you tell me you were up for three awards?”  Jon just held her in his arms, he could feel her body finally relax.  They just stood there for a few seconds for Jon to notice his shirt was getting wet from her tears.  “Hon, what’s wrong?”  He led her to the sofa and sat with her on his lap.
“You didn’t call me back (Sniff) I hardly slept last night (Sniff)” She cried so hard.
“I would have called you back this morning, but the car was here and I had to get ready, I saw your call when I got on the plane, but we almost missed our flight window.”  Jon rubbed her back while she cried and he tried to comfort her. “I’m here now.”  He held her while the tears flowed.
Stephanie came in to find a crying Lexie and went off on her dad.
“What did you say to her?”  Stephanie rushed over to where they sat.
“I just told her why,” He started to say but Stephanie jumped back in.
“She has been waiting on you to call her, she was so worried about what you would say.  I thought you’d be happy.”  She railed at her father.  “I guess I was wrong.”
“What are you talking about,” then he stopped. Looking between his pissed off daughter and his crying fiancĂ©, he sat her up on his lap.  “Did the doctor call back?”  He asked Lexie.
All she could do was nod, tracks of her tears on her cheeks.
“Text.”  Stephanie told him.
“They texted you the pregnancy report?”  He asked Lexie softly.
Sniffing loudly she nodded her head again.
Stephanie took that time to leave the room to give them privacy.
Jon reached over for a handful of Kleenex and dabbed at the tears that still seeped from her closed eyes. So they were going to have a baby.  Deep breath Jonny boy, it’s not like you haven’t been down this road before, remember the jet on standby with Romeo?  Take it one step at a time.
“Lex, honey, we’re going to have a baby.”  Jon said softly.
Lexie looked deep into his eyes, he’s not mad, but he’s not happy either.  What was she going to do about that? Sure he had Stephanie and the boys, wouldn’t he want a child that was theirs? The smile on his face didn’t reach his eyes.
“A baby.” She tried to paste a smile on her face, but more tears threatened to fall.
Stephanie came out, she had a feeling things weren’t going very well between Lexie and her dad.
“Lex, you better come get ready, or we’ll be late for the dinner.”  She said as she walked over to where she sat on her dads lap.  I’ll help you.”
She got Lexie up and moving toward the bedroom.
“You need a soothing shower,” Stephanie told her, as she turned behind her back and scowled at her dad.
